Bertie

I'm looking for a new home...

About Bertie

Centre:
Breed:
Age:
2 to 5 Years
Sex:
Male

Likes

Bertie loves nothing more than playing with his toys and going for walks to stretch his legs. His favourite game is tuggy but he sometimes forgets quite how strong he is! Bertie does have his insecurities however, and can be very worried when being handled when visiting the vet.

Type of home needed

Bertie is looking for an adult only home without any visiting children, where he will be able to have access to his own secure garden attached to the property. As Bertie can sometimes forget his own strength, new owners will need to be able to physically hold Bertie when out on walks if he starts to pull. He will need to be the only pet in the home. New owners will need to be committed to Bertie's future training as he is only a youngster with a tonne of potential. He can be reactive towards traffic so must live in a quiet area, a busy road would not be suitable. New owners will need to be commited to making multiple visits to the centre before taking Bertie home to get involved in his training (visits would need to be at least twice a week) and they must live within 1 hour of the centre.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from Dogs Trust Kenilworth, West Midlands.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
