Covid-19 update: our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing, but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with measures in place to keep staff and adopters safe. Find out more about how national Covid-19 restrictions are affecting our rehoming procedures and other activity.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with new processes in place to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

For dogs we know will thrive straight away in their new home, we’re matching them with their new homes virtually and delivering them contact-free. Current restrictions mean we can only facilitate adoptions local to our centres and not across Countries or anywhere there are travel restrictions. We’re not able to make appointments for dogs to meet their family before going home, but we can register interest to arrange appointments when restrictions ease.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

Likes

Butch has lived in a home previously and is looking for a quiet adult only environment where there aren't too many visitors as he can be worried by new people. As a part of his ongoing training he is learning to walk with a muzzle on and he will need access to quiet walking areas. He is very food motivated and LOVES his toys so this makes training him alot easier and much more fun for him too!

Type of home needed

Butch is a smashing lad who is looking for dedicated new owners who are willing to take their time getting to know him. He is very bright and picks things up really quickly. He loves his quiet walks on the field especially when he gets the chance to bounce around in the long grass! He will need to be the only pet in his new home. New owners will need to do multiple visits to the centre to get to know him and be involved in his training before he goes home. Butch will need access to his own secure garden in his new home with at least 6ft fencing so that he can enjoy his outside space when he is settling in.

More about me

Butch is now available for rehoming so please contact the centre if you have a suitable home.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Butch, who is based at Kenilworth (West Midlands). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
