Briar has very briefly lived in a home and was good to travel in an indoor kennel but will still need help with housetraining and being left alone. He would prefer a home where his owners can be with him most of the time.
Type of home needed
Briar is a worried lad looking for a quiet home with patient new owners who will give him plenty of time to get used to his new environment. He does gain confidence when his kennel mate is around so he MUST go to a home with a pre-existing confident dog living there. Unfortunately he is not suitable to live with cats. He is suitable to live with adults only. New owners need to research the Beagle breed before coming to the centre so you know what to expect from him. The time to be left would need to be built up gradually leaving him things to do to keep him occupied. He must have access to his own secure garden in his new home and he will need high fencing as he can escape over a 7ft fence.
More about me
New owners must be willing to visit Briar multiple times at the centre before taking him home so that they can build up a relationship with him as he is very worried around people.
