Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

I'm looking for a new home...

About Ace

2 to 5 Years

Ace is ace! He's a two-year-old Collie who is super fun and bouncy. A ball is the key to his heart, he loves a game of fetch and fetch is the way to make friends with Ace. He can be worried by strangers, especially if they try to touch him. He will need access to less populated areas, nice rural walks and understanding adopters. Ace is happy to travel in the car, he is housetrained, and he enjoys treats and knows a 'sit'. Ace would enjoy and benefit from learning more tricks as learning is rewarding, fun and great for mental stimulation. Ace has been socialising with calm dogs here at the rehoming centre, as long as they are friendly to him, he is friendly back.

Type of home needed

Ace is looking for a loving adult home in a nice quiet rural area. He would best suit adopters who like the remoteness. Ace is not one for trips to the pub or busy cafes. He is looking to be the only dog in the home and will need a house without cats or small furries. He will need a quiet household with a limited number of visitors, any visitors to the home will need careful introductions. Potential adopters should be prepared to come to the centre a few times to build a bond with Ace.

More about me

Ace will be removed from the website when we have received 30 applications. If a suitable home isn't found, we will repost Ace's profile on the website.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre in Devon.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
