Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

Dotty is a beautiful four-year-old little Greyhound who has recently come from a home with Ronnie, and they are looking to be adopted together. Dotty is a shy girl who lacks confidence in busy or new environments. She looks to Ronnie for support, they really complement each other making a great pair and perfect companions. Dotty enjoys having a run around with Ronnie. She is happy to meet and greet calm dogs, she prefers smaller dogs, and she is not comfortable with boisterous dogs. She is happy to travel in the car and she is housetrained. While Ronnie is straight in there to meet and greet new people, Dotty stands back, taking her time to get to know new people, she likes to know a person a little better before she enjoys a fuss and affection.

Type of home needed

Dotty and Ronny are looking for a loving forever home where they can have lots of snuggles, fun and adventures. They could share a home with older teens, fourteen-years plus and are looking for a home without cats or small furries. Dotty would prefer a quieter home environment. They are used to having their humans at home with them all of the time, therefore any time left alone will need to be built up gradually. Potential adopters may need to visit the rehoming centre a few times to build a bond with Dotty.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre in Devon.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
