Frank is a 3-year-old Staffie x who is looking for an adult only home. He absolutely loves learning and will do anything for a tasty treat. Frank is a very affectionate lad once he knows you but can often forget his manners and become over aroused. He loves going out on walks with his favourite people to discover new sights and smells and will often like a doggie companion to share these adventures with. He may be a little clumsy at first but once he has had a few goes, Frank loves agility. Frank will enjoy either treats or toys for rewards but trading must always be used, especially with tennis balls as he can become obsessed. One of Franks favourite things to do is enrichment. He loves destruction boxes as well as filled Kong's and even loves a bit of carrot and butternut squash for an extra treat.
Type of home needed
Frank is a sensitive lad who is looking for very understanding and patient owners. Frank can struggle settling into a new environment and therefore time and a consistent routine is essential to help aid his transition into a home. Too much animation can make it difficult for Frank and we therefore ask that there is a maximum of two people within the household with very few visitors. Frank must be kept on lead when out on walks and thus would absolutely love to have his own fully secure garden to call his own when he can run and enjoy himself. Owners must be aware that Frank will require ongoing training once in the home which staff at Salisbury will happily support and advise to ensure his new home is a success.
More about me
Frank would love a home with caring and considerate owners who love to venture outside and love to exercise and train in obedience and/or agility. Ideally Franks new owners will have experience in boisterous dogs as he can forget his manners and needs carful and attentive owners who can diffuse these situations which are likely to occur. Please be aware that Frank has ongoing medical needs which owners will need to considered from a financial aspect.
In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue
our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like
to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
