Vinnie is a lovely, bouncy, typical hound with a lease for life and his nose to the ground! He originally came in to our care as a stray but he recently found himself back in our care after being returned to us. He is a very smart boy who is looking for an experienced home where he can continue his training.

Type of home needed

Due to his excitability, any children in the home must be over the age of 18, and this does include visiting children. He is not able to live with cats or canines. Vinnie does enjoy socialising with other dogs however and would enjoy to continue to walk with friends. Vinnie likes his own space so he would prefer to not share things with another dog. Vinnie would love to find an active family who can take him out for lots of adventures! He could be left for 1-2 hours a day but this should be slowly built up to.

More about me

Vinnie is looking for a home with his own garden with a 6ft fence to allow him to burn off some energy and practice his recall. Vinnie will need to stay on a lead whilst in public. Since Vinnie loves his food so much, he will need to be carefully managed in the home e.g. with baby gates so that he doesn't steal high value items. Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Glasgow Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
