Leo is an active little lad who is looking for an owner that can keep him busy with training. If you have previous dog experience, preferably with terriers, and you're looking for a project dog Leo may be the boy for you. Leo will need the right environment to reach his full potential. He needs a rural environment where he can relax. Given time and dedication he will make a great addition to his next home.

Type of home needed

Leo can live with children aged 16 years or older who can give him some space when he needs it, he does prefer to be left alone when enjoying food and treats. Leo will need to be the only pet in the home. He is reactive towards other dogs and this is an area of training he will need to continue at home. Having quiet, dog free areas to walk and no neighbouring dogs will be best so he can relax at home and really enjoy his walks. For this reason Leo will need to be kept on lead when in public places and he has been trained to wear a muzzle in situations he may find overwhelming.

More about me

Having direct access to his own garden with a 6ft fence is a must to give him somewhere to enjoy some time off lead. Having someone around for most of the day would be best to help Leo adjust to home life and work on his training. He could be left alone for a couple of hours but this will need to be built up gradually. Leo will need some support to adjust but the work will be rewarding and he will make a great canine companion. To apply to adopt Leo please click on the 'rehoming me starts here' button below. Applications will close when we find a suitable match.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Glasgow Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
