You may recognise Jonny as he has been in our care before. He is back with us as he requires some ongoing training and a committed owner who can support him to reach his full potential. He would do best in a quiet home with few visitors and quiet areas to walk.

Type of home needed

Jonny can live with children aged 14 years and older. He will need to be the only pet in the home and kept on lead when in public as he has been known to chase small animals. Working on his doggy social skills is a must as he can be vocal towards others when on walks. Walking in quiet, dog free areas will make adventures together much more relaxing and enjoyable for both Jonny and his new owner. Jonny will need direct access to his own secure garden with a 6ft fence to give him somewhere safe to enjoy some time off lead.

More about me

Jonny can be left alone for a few hours but it would be best to have company for most of the day initially to let him settle. Jonny loves to explore and like so many others in the last year he has taken to cold water swimming. He enjoys canoeing and would make a great companion on the water! If you need an exploration buddy Jonny might be the perfect match for you. To apply to adopt Jonny please click on the 'rehoming me starts here' button below. Applications will close when find a suitable match.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Glasgow Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
