Axel is a comical character and will make a fantastic companion in the right home environment so we ask that you only apply if you meet his rehoming needs. Having previous experience of owning a dog is a must as he does have some dog and stranger issues which will need to be managed. For this reason he will need to be kept on lead when in public places.
Type of home needed
Axel needs an owner who can take their time to introduce him to new people properly and ensure he is comfortable and safe around strangers. If you do this for him you will get to see the fun loving and affectionate side of Axel. Due to a previous bad experience Axel prefers to be the only dog around. He must live with kids aged 16 plus. Being able to walk in relatively quiet areas would be best. He loves long walks and splashing in puddles and ponds!
More about me
Axel is used to having his owner around most of the day but could be left for a short time. He would love a secure garden to enjoy some off lead time and even better if he has his own paddling pool. He is with us through no fault of his own and deserves his happy ever after. Applications close at 12pm on Thursday 28th May. I am looking for a home within 30 minutes drive of the Glasgow Rehoming Centre.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
