Applications will close when a suitable match has been found, at which point Lewis will be removed from the website. Lewis is a superstar in his own right and is always keen to show-off his long list of tricks and talents; From a well-established settle to his impressive 'back-up', no trick is too tough to Lewis to master (as long as treats are close by to be offered as a reward of course). Making new human friends can be a little daunting for Lewis, but once a friendship has been formed he will (quite literally) jump through hoops to please his favourite people. Oozing with charm and charisma, Lewis is guaranteed to make the perfect new family extremely happy for many years to come.

Type of home needed

Lewis is seeking a quiet rural retreat where he can spend the rest of his years enjoying the sights and smells that the beautiful countryside has to offer. He is asking to have access to his very own secure garden where mooching around and playing could be on offer all day if he wishes to and will need his home to be situated in a remote place away from roads or other noisy and busy public spaces such as schools and parks. Lewis' bright mind can sometimes get the better of him and makes it a bit of a challenge to switch-off. Because of this, he will most likely thrive in a relaxed home environment with no more than two human family members as lots of goings-on can create a barrier to him settling in fear of missing out. His family must have a keen interest in training as Lewis absolutely thrives when having something to occupy his mind and will need to have the time a patience to dedicate towards his ongoing programmes both in the home and out and about. For a family who would love to watch their four-legged family member progress and develop, there is no doubt that Lewis will tick all the boxes.

More about me

Lewis was originally welcomed into the Dogs Trust family at just 8months of age as he was too bouncy for the humans who he was living with at the time. Since then, he has had a couple of other homes which sadly did not work out; Now that Lewis has been working exceptionally hard on his training programmes, our team are confident that his forever home will be just around the corner. He is seeking an adult-only, pet-free home where he can be the centre of attention and will require his own room in the house where he can be left to his own devices for some chill-out time. When left by himself, Lewis settles very nicely here and can be left for several hours at a time as long as he has some form of enrichment game to prevent boredom. He is exceptionally housetrained and does enjoy outdoor adventures with doggy pals who he can share both on and off-lead time with. Lewis does have some ongoing medical conditions which will need to be considered by anyone looking to adopt him. Any costs associated to Lewis' medical history will need to be able to be financially covered by his new family.
