Sweet, affectionate and an expert snuggle-buddy, Judy is a fabulous addition to her current foster home. Since July, Judy has been adoring lounging around on the biggest, comfiest sofa as well as racing up and down a fantastic garden full of space to roam and play. Squeaky ball toys and soft teddies are a firm favourite for Judy- Promise her a toybox filled with these in her forever home as well as her own big bed to take naps in and you will be blessed with the perfect lifelong companion. Although Judy can be a little bit shy when first meeting new people, she has become very trusting of her foster family and absolutely loves a tickle on the chin or behind her soft velvet ears. She has always been very well behaved in her current digs and has definitely become a massive part of the family to say the least. Judy loves her food and is especially partial to some freshly-cooked chicken (she is one to appreciate the finer things in life!). She can take a little time to come out of her shell, but is undoubtedly going to be a super-fun, friendly and affectionate addition to her forever family.

Type of home needed

Judy is seeking an active lifestyle where she can be given lots of opportunities to explore the exciting world around her. She will need her own secure garden with tall fencing as Judy has proven to be rather springy when she want to be. Judy will be happy to have visitors to her home, and will need time left alone to be built up gradually in a way that sets her up for success. She is looking to be the only pet in her home although had previously lived with her daughter for a few years. When out walking, Judy can get herself into a bit of a pickle on the sight and sound of other dogs; She is anxious being in their company and would like her forever family to fully understand that her insecurities will need some further confidence-building work in the right new environment. Children in the home will need to be of secondary school age and older although younger visitors may be suitable to the home if dog-savvy.

More about me

Judy would like to live in an area where she will not have to see too many dogs out and about as this will enable her to begin overcoming her fears. She has a keen interest in fast-moving objects and will need a family who have a good understanding of sighthound types and their typical chase drive. Judy has a good history of jumping into the car, although it is unknown whether she settles when on the move. Having a dog sitter or walker will be fine for Judy, as long as her worries when out and about are considered by anyone taking on responsibility for day to day tasks. Traffic as not phased Judy, and she has remained fully housetrained during her stay with our foster family.
