We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment and this now applies to all of our rehoming centres in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

To apply to rehome Blaze please click the 'Come and meet me' button below. Applications will close when a suitable match has been found. Blaze is a truly handsome young boy with so much potential to flourish in the right home. He likes his treats, adores his playtime with his favourite people and enjoys showing-off just how brainy he is. For Blaze, like most collies, ball is life and he would love a spacious garden of his very own to play fetch in.

Type of home needed

Blaze is seeking an active home in a quiet, rural setting with two humans maximum. As much as he would appreciate interactions with some doggy friends he does not yet understand the concept of sharing, so prefers a house to himself. Blaze is a young dog who does require a higher amount of physical exercise and loves to learn new things so a family with an interest in training would be ideal. Blaze has had a very unsettled life so far where he has found himself in and out of kennels. Introductions to a new family and home are going to be slow and guided by our training team; for this reason, Blaze's new family must live NO FURTHER THAN 30 MINUTES FROM OUR CENTRE.

More about me

Blaze really is a sweetheart once you get to know him. Once you have formed a relationship with him you will be able to fuss, handle and play with him, but until then his new family will need to have an understanding for him that he is an anxious boy who takes a while to trust new people. This will be something that new owners would need to consider prior to applying to rehome him. Blaze must have an adult-only home with no other pets or visiting children.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Blaze, who is based at Evesham (Worcestershire). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
