Type of home needed
Four-year-old Storm is a beautiful Husky, he's active, playful and independent. We are looking for a home to look beyond he's beauty as he does have some additional quirks, so we are looking for a family who have had previous experience of rescue huskies. Storm is a clever boy and loves his food, so training is great fun for him when you've got some snacks to hand. Storm can be unsure around strangers so will require his new owners to come and meet him at the centre multiple before he can go home. He is uncomfortable around traffic and is not a fan of other dogs so is looking for a home in a quiet and rural location. He will need his walks in low populated areas wearing his muzzle so that he can comfortably enjoy his outdoor adventures without bumping into dogs and people.
More about me
Storm has had an unsettled start and is now looking for a home with owners who are willing to work alongside the training team to help him become the best dog he can be. In his new home Storm must live with a maximum of 2 people who must both be adults, with very few visitors as he can find too many new people overwhelming. He will need his leaving hours built up from scratch so will initially need someone at home all the time to work on this with him. He has proven to be a lovely boy who will thrive in an active home with a family that are happy to respect his boundaries.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
