I am currently looking for my new family. To apply to rehome me please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Applications will close when I have found a suitable match.

Type of home needed

Two-year-old Ned is a sensitive chap looking for a calm understanding home with owners who are patient with him whilst he overcomes his sensitivities. Whilst he has been with us, Ned has become an incredibly affectionate boy who adores cuddles with his favourite canine carers, so we are sure once he is home with his forever family he will be a real snuggle bug! He has come to us with no history so will need basic training as we don't know if he has lived in a home before.

More about me

Ned can be overwhelmed with being handled by new people, particularly in the vets but he is a clever boy and is now fully muzzle trained so doesn't mind wearing this for his vet trips now! Ned can live with teens over the age of sixteen that are experienced around rescue dogs. He will need to be the only pet in his new home and have minimal leaving hours. Ned must have access to his own secure garden in his new home. Ned loves life - food, toys, cuddles are all super exciting for him, so he is sure to make a fun and rewarding companion!

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Basildon Rehoming Centre in Essex.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
