Please note if you rent your property, you must be able to provide written permission from your landlord to keep a dog. We will not be able to reserve any dog until we have received this. If you are shortlisted for this dog please be aware a meet will be arranged at the centre within 48 hours and your new family member will be home with you within 7 days.

Type of home needed

Vincent is a stunning looking lad who loves to say hello to everyone he meets and enjoys a good fuss too. He does get worried about being left on his own however as he loves his human pals so much, so will need someone at home most the time to start with to slowly work on building up his leaving hours. He may need a bit of a refresher with housetraining too, so a secure, private garden is on his wish list, along with a big pile of toys as he loves to play with them!

More about me

4-year-old Vincent has a great history with children in his previous home so can live with children over 8 years old. He is an ex-racer so will need to be kept onlead and muzzled in public, which is another reason he would love his own garden - so that he can zoom about off lead during the day. Vincent is a bit unsure around other dogs and can sometimes be reactive so would like to be the only pet in the home, however he could potentially have calm walking sighthound buddies when out and about. Vincent cannot live with cats or small furries.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Basildon Rehoming Centre in Essex.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
