I'm looking for a new home...

About Mac

Age:

Mac is beautiful boy, both inside and out who loves nothing more than spending time with his carers. He has a few walking pals at the centre but does prefer females so could potentially share his home with a female dog. He is starting to learn tricks so will enjoy learning more in the home - especially if toys are on offer as he does love to play with them.

Type of home needed

Mac finds the world all a bit scary and is looking for an adult only home with no visiting children where he can find his feet and slowly get used to homelife. He will need walking in quiet areas, therefore must have access to this, or a car to drive him to these areas. He will need to be muzzled and on lead for walks therefore requires a secure garden of his own with at least 6ft fencing.

More about me

If you are interested in Mac, you will need to attend the centre multiple times so Mac can gradually get to know new faces and the transition into a home will be slow so not to overwhelm him. The training team will be supporting this.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Darlington Rehoming Centre in County Durham.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
