I'm looking for a new home...

About Terry

5 to 7 Years

Terry is a cheeky chap with bundles of personality! He adores his toys and will settle nicely with his ball. Terry is a clever boy who enjoys his training and picks things up quickly if there is a tasty treat on offer. He can be independent and does not enjoy overhandling.

Type of home needed

Terry is looking for a calm, adult only home, with no visiting children. Adopters will need to be willing to visit Terry multiple times at the centre and work closely with the training team prior to adoption. His training must be continued in the home. Terry cannot live with other pets, though he could potentially have a few canine friends to go on walks with. He will need access to his own secure garden as he will need to be kept on lead when in public.

More about me

Adopters will also need to speak with our vet team about Terry's medical needs prior to adoption. He is currently undergoing hydrotherapy and laser treatment. Adopters will need to live within 30 minutes of the centre.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Darlington Rehoming Centre in County Durham.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
