Twist is a super sweet boy, he may take slightly longer to find his feet in a new home as he can be a bit of a worrier (especially around men that he doesn't know), but takes to females pretty quickly. He walks really nicely on lead and travels well in a car, he is very affectionate when he knows you. He loves his grub and is a foodie! Twist can get a bit worried by full on dogs as is much happier with a calmer placid friend.
Type of home needed
As Twist had never lived in a home (he recently retired from racing), so he may find new noises a bit scary at first. He will need kind patient owners willing to commit to a couple of visits before adopting him, especially men in the household. He could potentially live with a quiet female dog of similar size, but will require a more calm child free home. Twist has just gone into foster care to help him get used to living in a home environement. He is doing super well! He is nearly housetrained as well.
More about me
Twist is in a lovely foster home so please contact our home from home team for more information about him.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
