About
Rowland
Likes
Rowland is a beautiful boy, a bit sensitive, but very loving and people orientated. He does need to work on his doggy skills, as he can be vocal around them. He likes to have company at home so does need someone around most of the day to help him settle. He is a big lad, being a Greyhound X Collie, and he definitely has attributes of both breeds. He has 3 legs having lost one after an accident early on in life. But he manages super well without it and can run really fast!
Type of home needed
Rowland is looking for an active, quiet, adult only home that can follow on the training DT staff have had to start from scratch post surgery. He will need a sizeable garden to burn off some energy as he will need to be on lead and muzzled when out for his walks. His new home needs to have no neighbouring dogs and he should be the only pet in the home. Rowland would prefer to travel to quiet walks or have quiet areas on the doorstep so dogs can be avoided.
More about me
Due to current restrictions, I can't go to my forever home just yet, but you can register your interest. If we are a suitable match, when restrictions ease, you will be able to discuss me in more detail with my carers at the centre. Thank you so much for your interest in me! Once restrictions are lifted prospective owners will need to live reasonably near to the centre as they will need to visit a few times to work with the trainers and Rowland.
In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue
our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like
to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
