Brian is an active English Bull Terrier cross. He is around 2 years old and is always on the lookout for his next adventure. He loves his walks and particularly enjoys munching on the long grass and having a bit of a splash in the stream. He loves to find a bench to sit down on along the way, have a little cuddle, and watch the world go by. He very much enjoys his training which is very useful to keep his brain busy, and would love his new owners to learn alongside him. Sadly, Brian has been with us a little while now so is hoping his special someone is out there for him.

Type of home needed

Brian is looking for an active family who are willing to work alongside the behaviour team at the centre to carry on with his ongoing training. Unfortunately, he hasnt had the most stable of starts in life so will need patient owners who will give him the time to settle at his own pace. He is able to live with children aged 16 and over and is also able to live with another playful dog pending meets at the rehoming centre. Brian is looking for a quiet household that will be able to keep things consistent for him as he can become anxious at times. He will need direct access to his own private garden and would prefer access to rural areas for walks. New owners must be willing to visit the centre multiple times to meet Brian and must also live within 45 minutes of the rehoming centre in order for our behaviourists to carry out home visits.

More about me

If Brian sounds like your perfect match please get in contact to express an interest. Please note if you rent your property you must be able to provide written permission from your landlord to keep a dog to complete the rehome process. Due to expected high levels of interest you will only hear back from us if we are able to proceed with your application. We will conduct a rehoming interview with successful applicants and home visit via video. Access to emails and video technology will be essential for this process.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Canterbury Rehoming Centre in Kent.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
