Rehoming by appointment

Drummer

I'm looking for a new home...

5-year-old Foxhound Drummer is looking for calm, caring owners that are able to teach him that human beings are not all that scary. They will need to take a slow, hands-off approach with him as he builds up his confidence. Drummer loves his food which will help him to bond with his new owners, this will also benefit his ongoing training.

Type of home needed

Drummer would like to live in a quiet, rural area, in an adult only home. He has spent his entire life so far living in kennels so will need all of his basic training. He will require a secure, private garden that he can sniff around in, explore, and work on his housetraining. Our training team will speak to potential adopters about building up Drummer's confidence. He can potentially live with other dogs depending on successful meets. Adopters must live within a 45 drive of the centre as Drummer will require several meets.

More about me

If Drummer sounds like your perfect match, please get in contact to express an interest. Please note that if you rent your property, you must be able to provide written permission from your landlord to keep a dog to complete the rehome process. Due to expected high levels of interest you will only hear back from us if we are able to proceed with your application. We will conduct a rehoming interview with successful applicants and home visit via video. Access to emails and video technology will be essential for this process.

We do everything we can to provide essential care for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs who need us, now more than ever. If you'd like to help us during these challenging times, please make a donation. Your support means so much to us all, thank you.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Canterbury Rehoming Centre in Kent.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
