Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

I'm looking for a new home...

About Careg

2 to 5 Years

To apply to rehome Careg, please click on the ' Rehoming me starts here' button below. Applications will close once we have found a suitable match. This handsome chap is a three and a half year old Greyhound. He is looking for a loving family who can introduce him to home life and allow him to settle at his own pace.

Type of home needed

Careg is an ex racing Greyhound, because of this he has a high chase drive so is unable to live with cats or small furries and will need to be kept on lead and muzzled in unsecure areas. He could live with a similar size dog already established in the home and he can live with children aged 11 years and over.

More about me

As Careg has never lived in a home before he may need help reminding him of his housetraining and any time being left may need to be built up gradually. Careg has previously suffered a fracture to his right hind which he has had an operation on and he will have to remain on restricted exercise long-term to avoid damaging his leg. If you are a Greyhound fan, we will guarantee if you meet Careg that you will fall in love with him!

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Bridgend Rehoming Centre in Wales.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
