To apply to rehome Chief, please click on the ' Rehoming me starts here' button below. Chief does have life-limiting medical issues and we are looking for a family willing to offer him a palliative care foster home (so we will cover his medical costs). For consistency of veterinary care, adopters must be willing to bring Chief back to the centre for vet checks, so should live within a reasonable distance (ideally no further than 1 hour's drive away). His applications will close once a suitable match is found.
Type of home needed
Chief is an 11 year old Mastiff cross who is a sweet, older boy looking for his retirement home. He can be worried initially meeting new people so would prefer a quiet home which doesn't have many visitors, once he has formed a bond he loves to be in your company. Chief has had some negative experiences with dogs in the past so he'll need to be the only dog in his new home and be walked in low dog populated areas.
More about me
Chief is looking for a quiet adult only home with no visiting children. He'll need direct access to his own secure garden. He is unable to live with cats or small furries. Once he knows you he is a big softie and is a firm favourite with the staff here at the centre. Chief does have a medical condition which we can discuss with potential adopters in more depth over the phone. He will go out on our home from home scheme. Chief is an older, gentleman who will make a loving and loyal companion.
In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue
our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like
to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
