Jason is a lively 20 month old Lurcher cross. This lad is full of beans and loves nothing more than having zoomies in the field. He can get quite boisterous at times with both humans and dogs, so he does need to learn some calm training techniques. When Jason is in a busy doggy area it is advised that he wears a muzzle around small dogs as a precaution. Jason's training will also need to focus on dog socialisation, as he can be reactive initially but once he greets dogs in a controlled environment, then he will soon become friends and play. This play can get a little too much for some dogs, so he is best socialising with dogs of similar size. He could possibly live with another dog, but it would need to be of similar size and older and well adjusted and also be patient with Jason's play style. Unfortunately, Jason is unable to live with cats/small furries. He will require his own private, secure garden to enjoy his zoomies. Chilren in he home will need to be 14 years and over due to Jason jumping up and his exhuberant nature. Jason is not used to being left for long periods, so any time being left will need to be built up gradually over time.

Type of home needed

Jason is looking for a very active home with owners who have previous experience of breeds of a similar nature and energy levels. Training classes would be advised to help with Jason's progress and to build up his confidence around other dogs. With the right training put into place, Jason has a ton of potential to be a fun and loyal companion.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Bridgend Rehoming Centre in Wales.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.
