Katie is a 10 year old Collie Cross. Despite her age she is still a busy girl who enjoys going on long walks. Katie can be a little bit sensitive so will need to be rehomed with children aged 14 years and older. Katie will need a secure garden in her new home as she has been known to escape previously.
Type of home needed
Katie would suit an active home with experienced owners who can give her plenty of mental and physical stimulation. She will need help when she gets worried, in new situations and at the vets with lots of positive reward base training. Katie can live with another dog already in the home, but it would have to be calm and patient with her. Katie cannot live with cats or small animals. Katie will need owners to be around most of the day and work on any time being left. Katie has a lot of love to give and will make a great companion.
More about me
We will be taking applications for Katie and the home chosen will be based on suitability. An appointment will then be arranged with the potential adopter to visit her at the Centre. The applications close on Thursday 6th August at 4pm. Please be aware that applications may close early if we receive a high level of applications. To request a rehoming questionnaire, please email [email protected] and a form will be emailed back to you.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
