To apply to rehome Spot, please click on the ' Rehoming me starts here' button below. Applications will close once a suitable match is found. Spot is a four and a half year old Jack Russell Terrier. He loves meeting new people and is a friendly boy. He loves a snooze on your lap. Spot loves to go out exploring but can get distracted by other dogs and smells, so will need work on his recall. A long line is recommended for this training.

Type of home needed

Spot could have doggy friends when out and about but due to his medical condition, he is best as the only dog in the home. Unfortunately, he is unable to live with cats/small furries. Spot suffers with seperation anxiety and new owners will need to work with this over time and gradually increase the time he is being left on his own. Spot is not toilet trained and advice will be given on how to manage this. He can live with children aged 11 years and over. Spot does have epilepsy and will need ongoing medication, so new owners must be aware that there will be a financial commitment towards his medical costs. Spot has a fun personality and will be a great companion.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Bridgend Rehoming Centre in Wales.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
