I'm looking for a new home...

About Maisy

8 and over

Maisy is a very sweet and gentle little lady who is shy and quiet but once she does build up some trust with you she enjoys a bit of a scratch but is not keen on lots of handling. She is happy relaxing for the majority of the day but does like a dander in quiet familiar areas where there aren't too many people or dogs. In her foster home Maisy has enjoyed playing fetch with treats and is starting to enjoy enrichment toys with food.

Type of home needed

Maisy is looking for a quiet home environment with access to a secure garden of her own, due to her age and mobility she finds it easier walking on carpets or non-slip floors inside. Maisy will need to be the only pet in the home and would rather an adult only home so it is more peaceful in her retirement years. She is happy being left on her own for a few hours and is housetrained. She gets quite stressed travelling in the car.

More about me

Foster carers have been helping Maisy settle in the home whilst building up her confidence. She has some medical issues which can be discussed with the team at Ballymena. We will only be accepting applications from Northern Ireland.Maisy is a 15 year old Terrier cross.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Ballymena Rehoming Centre in Northern Ireland.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
