Covid-19 update: our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing, but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with measures in place to keep staff and adopters safe. Find out more about how national Covid-19 restrictions are affecting our rehoming procedures and other activity.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with new processes in place to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

For dogs we know will thrive straight away in their new home, we’re matching them with their new homes virtually and delivering them contact-free. Current restrictions mean we can only facilitate adoptions local to our centres and not across Countries or anywhere there are travel restrictions. We’re not able to make appointments for dogs to meet their family before going home, but we can register interest to arrange appointments when restrictions ease.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

Jack loves going out for walks and learning new tricks. He travels well in the car and is a very intelligent little boy who enjoys working for his food using enrichment toys. To apply to rehome me please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Applications will close when I have found a suitable match.

Type of home needed

Jack is in need of a calm and quiet adult only home who are very patient and understanding and will help continue with his general confidence building. He does not like to be left alone for long periods of time and so would suit someone who is at home for the majority of the day. He sleeps well in his crate at night in the bedroom. Once he gets to know you Jack can be very affectionate and enjoys attention and cuddles.

More about me

DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS I AM NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR REHOMING. Jack could possibly live with a calm female doggy companion and would prefer a home where he can be slowly introduced to visitors as he currently is finding them a little bit worrying. Jack is good with housetraining but will still need a little bit of help from his new owners.Jack is 2 years old.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Jack, who is based at Ballymena (Northern Ireland). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
