I'm looking for a new home...

About Billy

8 and over

If you are a fan of the cheeky character, bubbly energy and all-round fun involved in the Patterdale Terrier breed then you will LOVE our little Billy! He's 11yrs old but he hasn't realised that yet! He's full of life and loves being around people. He's super friendly with everyone he meets. Although he can be a bit barky around unknown dogs, he is manageable and if slowly introduced he can have the occasional walking buddy. He doesn't want to share his home with any other pets though because he's not one to share the limelight. Once you and Billy have bonded you will find him very playful but also incredibly affectionate too. He loves nothing more than snuggling all afternoon on the sofa after a lovely walk.

Type of home needed

Billy needs adopters who love everything about the terrier breed. He won't be able to be left initially as he doesn't like being alone. You will need to let him settle in at his own pace and slowly look to build his confidence around being left. He is best walked in quieter areas where he won't come across many unfamiliar dogs. A secure garden will be needed as he likes to have somewhere to explore off-lead. Children over 16yrs old will be fine if they are confident around playful dogs. Most important is that you will need to be prepared to share the sofa with him as this is where he likes to snuggle with his family.

More about me

Billy has some medical needs which our Vet will happily discuss in more detail with potential adopters. One thing's for sure though, with Billy in your life you'll never be lost for an adventure!

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Leeds Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
