Our rehoming centres are not open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes which include social distancing measures to help keep staff, visitors and adopters safe. We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

I'm looking for a new home...

About Arrow

2 to 5 Years

Meet the lovely Arrow who is a handsome 4 year old Greyhound looking for a new home to settle his paws into! He is a friendly chap who loves saying hello to his human friends and he will come over for a little fuss on his own terms. Arrow is an energetic boy who loves having off lead zoomies to burn off his energy and he loves playing with toys, soft toys are his favourite! He enjoys going for adventures where he can have a good potter around and he walks nicely with other dogs on the lead. He enjoys taking a nice tasty treat onto his bed and then having a snooze after a walk!

Type of home needed

As Arrow shows typical Greyhound behaviours, his new owners must have breed knowledge or willing to research the breed to help him settle nicely into his new home. Arrow can get scooty when off lead and loves having a good run around, he would benefit from visiting secure areas and will need his own medium/large secure garden that he can play in! Although he enjoys walking with other dogs, he does prefer his own space so will need to be the only dog in the home and cannot live with any other pets. Any children in the home including visiting will need to be aged 16 and over.

More about me

Arrow is a very happy little chap who will make sure to put a smile on your face! To apply to rehome Arrow please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Applications will close when he has found a suitable match.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Arrow, who is based at Manchester. Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
