Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public but you can still adopt some of our dogs: take a look at their profiles to see which ones. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming.

We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe. We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment and this now applies to all of our rehoming centres in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

I'm looking for a new home...

Likes

Domino is a sensitive boy who can be worried by new people and new situations and takes a bit of time to trust someone and make friends. But when he does he gets very attached to that person. He enjoys a fuss from his favourite carers, and is learning that doggy chums are a good thing in life. So although he can be worried by dogs out on walks, he is having lovely play dates with his favourite canine companions.

Type of home needed

Domino is looking for a quiet home, with owners who are willing to walk in quiet areas and carry on his focus work around dogs. New owners will be required to walk Domino on lead and muzzled. He needs an adult only home with a secure garden with at least a 6ft fence. He would need to be the only pet in his new home. New owners will need to meet him a few times at the centre so he can get to know them. He is such a loving and gentle boy who gives the best hugs, and will be a loyal companion for someone.

More about me

Please contact the training team at the centre if you would like more information about Domino before making the journey.I am not currently available for rehoming as I would like to meet my new family a few times before I go home, which is not possible at the moment due to the current restrictions. My canine carers will let you know as soon as this changes, so keep an eye on my profile."

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Domino, who is based at Darlington. Please note this is not a reservation on this dog.

We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming.

We will, of course, be doing everything to ensure the safety of our staff, and adopters when we offer this service. You can find out more about this below.
