Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public but you can still adopt some of our dogs: take a look at their profiles to see which ones. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming.

We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe. We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment and this now applies to all of our rehoming centres in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Charlie

I'm looking for a new home...

About Charlie

Centre:
Breed:
Age:
5 to 7 Years
Sex:
Male

Likes

Charlie has lived in a home before and was housetrained and ok to be left alone for a few hours as long as he has things to keep him occupied. He loves his toys especially raggy ones and tennis balls. He would play fetch all day if you let him. He is very much a typical Collie with lots of energy and enthusiasm!

Type of home needed

Charlie is a very lively boy who is looking for a quiet but active adult only home with no visiting children with new owners that will have lots of time to exercise him as he likes to be kept on the go. He has got some insecurities that will need to be worked on once he goes into his new home under the guidance of the behaviourists here at the centre. He can be wary of new people so a home with minimal visitors would be preferred and he will need to be walked muzzled when out and about. He will need to be the only pet as he prefers his own space. New owners would need to be prepared to make a few visits to the centre before taking Charlie home so that they can get to know him. He is a very intelligent boy who would enjoy being taught new tricks!

More about me

I am now available for rehoming so please contact the centre if you fit the criteria.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Charlie, who is based at Kenilworth (West Midlands). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog.

We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe. We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming.

We will, of course, be doing everything to ensure the safety of our staff, and adopters when we offer this service. You can find out more about this below.
