Are you right for Albie?

Albie would be best suited to a calm, quiet home where he can relax and feel safe to let his personality shine with time. Albie is looking for a home where any children are sensible, calm and of upper secondary ages. Albie has a history of being worried by children generally so would not suit a home with any younger visiting children. He isn't overly social when it comes to other dogs, much preferring the company of his human friends. Typical of his breed, Albie can be reactive towards smaller animals and cats, he would therefore like to be the only pet in the home. Albie would be best suited to a home with access to a private garden but homes without a garden may be considered in quieter areas. Albie can be shy of new people initially so would like a home where he has the ability to be separated, taking himself away to settle if he feels overwhelmed. Albie is up for rehoming through our homestay scheme meaning he is staying in the comforts of his own home whilst we find a home for him, he therefore is not based at the rehoming centre.

Is Albie right for you?

Introducing Albie, he's a 7 year old Dachshund seeking a home where he can settle his paws. Albie loves the quiet life, enjoying gentle strolls and snoozing the afternoon away under his blanket. He can be a sensitive soul, taking a little time to warm up to new people and being worried by loud noises, but he shows his cheeky side when his favourite squeaky toys come out! Albie is used to being left alone for longer periods so wouldn't mind doing so again once he is settled into his new home, he doesn't mind heading off for a trip in the car either.
