Are you right for Dinky?

Dinky is a 2-year-old male Posavac Hound who is looking for an active and understanding home to call his own. He’s a fun-loving, bouncy boy with lots of energy and affection to give, so he’ll need a family who can keep up with his playful nature and continue his training. Dinky would be best suited to a home with children aged 16+ who are confident around lively dogs. He is looking to be the only dog in the home for now, as although he is interested in other dogs and really wants to be friends, he can become frustrated and over-excited when meeting them. He cannot live with cats or small animals. Dinky can be left alone for a few hours once settled and is comfortable relaxing in his crate. He would benefit from a patient home that will give him time to adjust to his new surroundings and help him build confidence, especially when out and about.

Is Dinky right for you?

Dinky is a super affectionate boy who absolutely loves spending time with his people. He’s described as a “very bouncy boy” and brings lots of fun and personality wherever he goes! He enjoys meeting visitors and has been very friendly with people coming into the home, showing a particular soft spot for men. Dinky travels well in the car and settles nicely in the back seat, making him a great companion for days out and adventures. He also enjoys getting out for walks and having a good run around in secure areas, although he can be strong on the lead, so will need some ongoing training in this area. When he sees other dogs, Dinky can become frustrated as he really wants to say hello, but with the right guidance and positive training, he has lots of potential to improve his social skills. Dinky hasn’t had the easiest start in life, having been rescued after being abandoned, but he hasn’t let that dull his loving nature. With the right home, patience, and continued training, he will make a loyal and fun companion who will bring plenty of love and energy into your life.
