Are you right for Dingo?

Meet Dingo! He is a brilliant dog with a big heart who just wants to be close to people. With the right environment and continued training, he will make a deeply rewarding companion. He truly deserves a home that matches his energy, affection and love for life. Dingo is just under a year old and has been working hard in different areas of training such as reactivity, car travel and meeting new people. His adoption process will be supported by our amazing Training Team who have gotten to know Dingo really well, and any potential adopters for Dingo will need to be willing to visit the Centre for multiple visits before adoption so he can form the start of an amazing bond like he has with his handlers here. Dingo can walk with other dogs and could potentially share his new home with another dog after a successful meet here at the Centre. Dingo is looking for a quiet, adult only home, or a family with older children. Dingo has been getting better at spending time alone, but he will settle so much quicker into his new environment if his adopter can be at home with him to begin with. In time, Dingo’s leaving time can be gradually increased.

Is Dingo right for you?

Dingo has been responding really well to calm, consistent training and the details of his behaviour quirks can be discussed further with the Team if you are matched with him. He is a incredible dog, who just needs someone who has plenty of time to spend with him. One of Dingo’s favourite pastimes is exploring the great outdoors! As you can see from his photos, he is happiest on long walks in quiet areas. He can’t think of anything better than uninterrupted walkies with his best friend! As much as Dingo likes to be busy with games of fetch and enrichment puzzles, he is also the biggest cuddle bug. At the end of an exciting day, he will be delighted to snuggle up with you on the sofa to watch a movie. He really is a dog that can do both! Dingo recently spent the weekend with one of his favourite handlers and they said “Dingo is a fun-loving, energetic and very affectionate dog with a big, funny personality. He is full of beans, enjoys being involved in everything going on around him, and forms strong attachments to the people he’s with. He is happiest when he is close to you, whether that’s following you around the house or curled up on the sofa.” If this sounds like the kind of dog for you, please submit an application and include Dingo as a ‘Favourite’ dog. Thank you!
