Are you right for King?

King is on the search for his forever home with a family who can dedicate the time to getting to know him and settle him into his new home environment. He would love to go on lots of adventures, spend his day playing and showing off his amazing training. He will need a family who are comfortable handling a dog who can be strong on lead and has shown some reactivity to other dogs on walks. King has come on leaps and bounds with his dog reactivity and can have walking friends if introduced appropriately. He has been positively muzzle trained and wears this comfortably out on his walks and at the vets. King will need to be the only pet in the home. King has spent a lot of his life in kennels so it may take him some time to settle into home life and learn a new routine. Adopters should be around for most of the time to begin with and will need to increase his leaving hours slowly. He would like a private and secure garden to enjoy with his family. King can live with teenagers who are comfortable around bouncy large dogs. King does have some medical considerations that will be discussed with our vet team upon a booking.

Is King right for you?

King is a super loveable boy who definitely holds the crown for being a firm favourite with his handlers here at the centre. He is a big goofball who still thinks he is a puppy at times. King is playful boy who loves interactive games as well as playing independently. He likes balls, soft toys, ropes and tuggy toys. At times he can get overexcited and can jump up but he has been working on his impulse control, showing off his ‘waits’ and as a result this has massively improved. King might just be the cleverest dog in our centre, he loves showing off his tricks in a very over-exaggerated and enthusiastic manner. He currently knows his name, sit, down, paw, touch, bed, wait, walks loosely on lead and has been positively muzzle trained. Not only that, but King has also come on leaps and bounds with his dog socialisation and is now happy to have walking friends. He is a great boy who loves lots of fuss and attention from his favourite people- he is sure to make a wonderful addition to a family who can give him the time he needs to settle into home life.
