Are you right for Gina?

Gina is a 4-year-old, high-energy girl looking for a calm, committed home that understands her sensitive nature. She can be shy when meeting new people and prefers a gentle, low-pressure approach, choosing to interact on her own terms. Gina can feel worried around other dogs and is reactive, but thanks to the hard work of the training team, she is now able to walk past dogs at a distance and continues to make great progress. As an active, collie-type dog, Gina thrives when her mind and body are kept busy, so she would love an active home that can provide plenty of exercise alongside enriching mental stimulation. Her ideal adopter will be patient, understanding, and willing to continue her training journey.

Is Gina right for you?

Gina will need to be the only pet in an adult-only home due to her dog reactivity and sensitivity, particularly around being touched near her neck. She can be left for a few hours once settled, but will need support and time to adjust to a new routine. Gina’s adopters must be able to commit to multiple visits at the centre to build a bond with her before she goes home, helping her feel safe and secure. Ongoing training around her dog reactivity will be important, but our training and behaviour team will be there to guide and support you. Gina will be an incredibly rewarding companion for collie lovers who can channel her energy positively and give her the understanding home she deserves.
