Are you right for Lupin?

Lupin is looking for a quiet to moderately quiet home. He has settled beautifully in foster and enjoys human company, but he can become over‑aroused with toys and is sensitive to over‑handling, so a more peaceful environment will help him feel safe and thrive. Lupin would be best suited to a home with older teenagers (15+) and adults. He would benefit from a calmer environment with people who can read his body language and provide structured play. A slightly younger age may be considered, depending on experience. He will need his new home to have a private garden, for safe play and decompression. Lupin has some ongoing medical needs, which may lead to additional costs. We will discuss these in more detail if your application is shortlisted. If medical costs feel like a barrier, we would still encourage you to apply — we’re very happy to talk this through. Lupin has a few behaviours that need ongoing support, including mild shadow‑chasing and some sensitivities around handling. These are well‑managed in foster through structured play, clear routines, and distraction techniques. We will give you full guidance and support to continue this.

Is Lupin right for you?

Searching for a bright, brilliant Collie who loves using his brain? Meet Lupin — a charming 10‑year‑old Border Collie with a real enthusiasm for fun mind games! Lupin is an affectionate, intelligent, and playful boy who adores his toys, enjoys mental challenges, and thrives on structured playtime. He builds lovely bonds with his people and likes affection on his own terms, making his trust feel extra special. On walks, he’s a delight — polite around other dogs and only mildly curious about passing cars, mostly at night. In his foster home, Lupin has been left for up to two hours and has settled beautifully. He relaxes calmly by the door with no pacing, vocalising, or destructive behaviour. His housetraining has also been impeccable, with no issues observed.
