Are you right for Muffin?

Muffin is a gorgeous Border Collie with a sweet and gentle, yet timid disposition. She has already been making some great progress since her arrival in our care so would now love to continue her confidence building journey with the support of a kind and patient family. Being a sensitive lady, Muffin would thrive best in a quieter home, situated in a rural or suburban area, away from the hustle and bustle of town centres or busy roads. Ideally, we would like to find her an adult-only home, but we are also happy to consider families with older teens who could be respectful of her space, while taking the time to learn about her body language. Muffin seems to enjoy pottering about in the company of other calm-natured canines on her walks but doesn’t interact with them much. She could have well-suited walking buddies but needs to be the only pet at home. Muffin is still learning about the world and has just started getting used to basics like wearing a collar. She'll need a slow, gentle introduction to her new home, including a break from walks for the first week. A secure garden is essential so she can safely explore outdoors at her own pace.

Is Muffin right for you?

While she may be shy at first, Muffin will make for an incredibly rewarding and loving companion to her forever family. Once you’ve taken the time to build her trust, she will enjoy spending time in your company and begin to reveal more of her playful and affectionate side that is always waiting to shine. Muffin’s most-loved pastimes include sniffing on peaceful walks, working her clever brain during fun training and releasing how brave she can be, spending quality time with her favourite people, and tucking into a tasty meal or investigating an easy food-based enrichment activity, like a snuffle mat.
