Are you right for Dobbie?

Dobbie is an 8-year-old gentle soul looking for a calm, understanding home where he can truly relax and enjoy his golden years. He’s friendly when meeting new people at his own pace and is especially affectionate with those he knows and trusts. Dobbie is fully housetrained, sleeps soundly through the night, and has lovely manners—taking treats gently and eating well. While he’s low energy, he still enjoys his walks and has the occasional burst of happy zoomies as he starts to rediscover the joy in life. He would suit a quiet home with older teenage children only, where visitors are calm and allow him to approach in his own time. Dobbie also has some medical needs, so adopters must be prepared to continue his care and provide a stable, loving environment.

Is Dobbie right for you?

Dobbie would thrive as the only pet in the home, he does find other dogs a bit worrying and can be reactive out on walks. He will need a secure routine and a peaceful household where he can feel safe and settled. While he can be left for short periods once settled, he would benefit from a home where someone is around for much of the day, especially initially, to help him adjust. His ideal home will be patient and committed to helping him build confidence, particularly out on walks. In return, Dobbie offers unwavering loyalty, affection, and companionship—he truly is a “good boy” who is beginning to embrace life again and will make a wonderful retirement companion for the right person.
