Are you right for Champ?

Meet Champ, this joyful little lad is a 7 year old Jack Russell cross Chihuahua who loves to be outside. He loves a long stroll, stopping to sniff and explore everything, or basking in the sunshine in the garden. He enjoys a good game of fetch or playing with his teddies and soft toys, although he does like to defluff them. He likes a fuss on his terms, he will nudge you for more, but it is really important to make sure that he is still happy having cuddles. This top guy is ready to find his new home.

Is Champ right for you?

Champ is looking for a calm and quiet home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He can be worried by meeting new people and lots of handling so is looking for a home with older secondary school children who can play with him nicely and will give him space to rest and relax when needed. Champ likes all of the space and attention to himself so would like to be the only pet in the home, he would be happy with have polite and friendly walking buddies that will let him sniff and explore at his leisure. Champ has a little training under his belt, he does a lovely sit and is currently doing muzzle training as he will need to wear a muzzle for vet visits. Champ can be enticed to do training in short, sweet sessions if a tasty treat is on offer. Champ would like a home with a private or communal, secure garden for him to potter about in at his leisure. Champ can settle nicely in the home and could be left for up to 4 hours, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home and preferably after a nice walk so he can settle down for a good snooze. Champ will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
