Are you right for Richard?

Richard is a 6-year-and-1-month-old boy with a worried nature . He’s a medium-energy dog who enjoys his walks and playtime but is equally happy to relax once he’s had some fun. Richard can feel conflicted when meeting other dogs, particularly those with over-the-top, bouncy play styles, as he is worried by other dogs Richard is looking to be the only dog in the home . He could live with sensible children aged 11+ who understand how to give him space when needed. Richard cannot be left alone for long periods and will need any alone time built up gradually and patiently. This little guy is fearful on lead and in new, unknown environments he will need some time and patience going at his pace as he explores the world.

Is Richard right for you?

He’s looking for a patient, understanding home committed to helping him settle in and continue his housetraining. Consistency, kindness, and plenty of tasty treats (his absolute favourite and a great motivator for his ongoing training) will go a long way with him. Richard can be a little worried around traffic so his ideal home would be in a quiet location where he can be walked in low traffic areas. If you’re ready to invest time in building his confidence around other dogs, and a calm home with minimal guests. if you can offer companionship for most of the day, and want a loving, affectionate dog to share your life with, Richard could be the perfect match.
