Are you right for Pixie?

Pixie is an adorable 4 year old 11 month Chihuahua x Jack Russell who is on the search for a new home. She would like to be the only pet in the home but once settled could have doggy friends of similar size who are not going to be over the top with her as she is under confident around larger dogs, our behaviour team will be able to give you support around ongoing socialising. Pixie can be worried by new people initially but once she has got to know you, she will come over for a short fuss and even enjoy a cuddle on the sofa, due to Pixie’s nervous behaviour she would be best to live with children of secondary school age and older who understand Pixie may at times need space. Pixie is worried by vet handling and may need to be muzzled when she has her nails cut.

Is Pixie right for you?

Pixie would ideally like a garden to call her own, so she can do her favourite hobby ….. sunbathing, she also enjoys gentle pottering in the garden with her favourite people. Pixie is a lovely girl, who can be worried initially but given time and patience she will soon be your best friend. She is house trained but may need a refresher in a new home. Pixie is currently part of our Home Stay scheme, which means she is living with her owners and isn't currently in the center but once matched we can arrange for appointments to meet her at the centre.
