Are you right for Kai?

Meet gorgeous lad, Kai! Kai is a 3-month old Belgian Malinois looking for his special home. Kai is looking for a Mali-experienced owner or working home, looking for a fun pal to train with and work with. Kai can live with another dog in the home, pending a successful meet in the centre. Kai is a typical Mali pup; very bouncy and very clever! He has already learned various commands and loves to work for his treats. He shows typical Mali behaviours such as nipping and mouthing, but he is still a baby so this should be worked on as he gets older. Kai has great social skills with other dogs, and loves to play. Any children in the home will need to be 11yrs+ and sensible as he is very boisterous, and can get over-aroused quite quickly. Kai would love a family that are dedicated to training, agility or other types of enrichment work with dogs. He is incredibly intelligent, and Malinois do need considerable mental and physical stimulation to thrive. Kai loves to play with toys and is very food motivated, so will be such a fun project for the right owner! We can't wait to see Kai living his best life.

Is Kai right for you?

Kai is a very sweet boy who is still young, so will need work on basics such as toilet training and ensuring he is happy being left alone for short lengths of time at first. He walks well on lead, but can occasionally start to grab when he is feeling overwhelmed. He has a very busy brain, so will need owners that are willing to work on this with him and keep him working. Kai would suit a high energy and experienced, or working home where he can reach his full potential. Kai travels well in the car if he is nicely secure in a crate. He is happy to be handled in all settings, but can be a bit wriggly like the puppy he is. Kai will need his social kept up as he grows older, including dogs and strangers. He will be a rewarding companion and we can't wait to see him reach his full potential!
