Rescue dog with a broken heart is looking for love

Great Dane who lost his canine companion is looking for home to share with a pooch

Staff at Dogs Trust Shrewsbury are on the lookout for a special home for a dog who arrived at the Rehoming Centre broken hearted after losing his beloved companion, but is now ready to fall head over ‘paws’ all over again.

Great Dane Bentley arrived at Dogs Trust after his companion passed away, he is a super sociable dog, and quite the romantic, his canine carers are desperate to rehome him with a companion or a dog loving family who already have a hound in their home.

Dogs Trust Shrewsbury’s Supporter Relations Officer, Lee Pogson explains: “Bentley is an incredibly handsome dog with the personality to match. All of us at the Rehoming Centre adore him and hope he can find a wonderful new home with a romantic rover he can snuggle up with.”

“His ideal day is spent pottering around on a country walk before settling down for the night on a cosy sofa. He also loves playing with toys and delicious dog treats. He would make a wonderful addition to a loving home with an existing canine companion. Bentley is a big boy, so an owner with large breed experience is ideal.”

Have you got a pooch in your pad pining for Bentley?
