Could you help this festively named four-legged friend find his forever home?

Staff at Dogs Trust Shrewsbury are hoping one of their residents will be jingling all the way to a forever home in time to see in the new year – and to celebrate his 13th birthday.

Older Age Pooch (OAP), Jingles, will be 13 on 6 January and the team are hoping that despite the fact that he is getting on in years, 13 will be a lucky number for Jingles and he will find himself at the heart of a forever home in time to celebrate.

Louise Campbell, manager at Dogs Trust Shrewsbury, says:

“He is a lovely older boy and it would be the best start to 2019 if he was able to enjoy his birthday at the heart of a new family.

“We will make sure he has a great Christmas with us and we will make him feel very special like we do with all the dogs in our care, but it would be wonderful if by the time his own big day comes around, he can be enjoying all his home comforts once more.”

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Jingles has his paws crossed for a quiet retirement home with owners who will be happy to take him on nice gentle walks. He still loves to play with his toys and enjoys meeting new people but now he’s an older boy he likes routine and the chance to have a lovely long snooze.

Louise says:

“He knows all his basic commands and walks beautifully on the lead. He still has a playful side so he is an ideal mix! If someone is looking for a canine companion to easily fit into their life, then Jingles could be the perfect four-legged friend.”
