Adopt don’t shop this Black Friday

Staff at Dogs Trust Shrewsbury are hoping Black Friday (24 November) will inspire local dog lovers to swap shopping for adopting and give a black dog a new home.

Tasha, a one-year-old Greyhound, has got her paws crossed that this Black Friday will prove lucky for her.

Tasha is a sweet young girl who hasn’t had the best start in life. Having arrived at the rehoming centre earlier this year as a young pup, she is slowly beginning to show her lovely personality and the team are hoping her ideal family will walk through the doors of the rehoming centre this Friday.

Louise Campbell, Rehoming Centre Manager, says:

“As people traditionally hit the shops on Black Friday, we’re using it as the perfect opportunity to encourage people to adopt not shop. Tasha is beautiful; she is now learning how to play and is starting to enjoy life and trust people. Once she knows you she gets very giddy, which is gorgeous, and loves a cuddle.”

Tasha is looking for patient, experienced owners who are happy for her to take her time to get to know them. She could live with children aged 14 and over.

Louise says:

“She has come on quite literally in leaps and bounds since arriving and she is definitely ready to be at the heart of a loving, forever family. She really deserves it and we thought if any day would be lucky for her, then surely it’s Black Friday.”
