Jane is one of our Volunteer Dog Walkers and has been taking our canine residents for walkies for over 20 years!
Jane explains why she loves volunteering with us:
“When I’m not walking the dogs around the rehoming centre grounds I like to take them off-site into the countryside for some one-on-one time, socialisation and time away from the kennel environment. This is when I usually get a glimpse into the dog’s real personality because it tends to shine through when we are away from the kennel environment.
There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a dogs life turned around and watch them head off to start the next chapter of their lives in a new home. It really is the most rewarding feeling and makes all the hard work and muddy, wet walks worthwhile.”
