In the spotlight at Shrewsbury - Buster!
Young at heart Staffy Buster is looking for a forever home
Buster is an adorable senior staffy who's a staggering 16-years-old. Yep, that's right 16! But it seems that Buster can't count because he doesn't realise, he thinks he's much younger. He is such a playful chap and full of life as you'll see when you throw a tennis ball for him. He's instantly friendly towards anyone that he meets and would like to be the only dog in the home so that he can have all the love to himself please.
As Buster loves being around people so much he can sometimes feel a bit lonely in his kennel, so he likes to go and visit everyone in the staff room during lunch breaks. Once he's had a fuss, and possibly a few tasty treats, he takes a nap on the sofa until lunch time is over. At weekends he can be found helping out behind the reception desk. He really enjoys this because he gets to greet all the visitors and thrives on the attention and fuss. He even has his own bed where he likes to go for a snooze in-between meeting and greeting - well it does get busy at weekends and our receptionists do work very hard you know. Buster isn't sure he wants to work for his keep, he'd rather put his paws up and retire in luxury with plenty of cuddles, a big comfy bed & an endless supply of tennis balls. As you can see in the video he can never have too many tennis balls in his life.
If you are home all day and want some company then Buster just might be the dog for you. He doesn't ask for much in life at all and older dogs really do make such excellent companion pets.
Please call Dogs Trust Shrewsbury on 01952 770225 or pop by and ask to meet him, you're sure to fall in love with this cheeky old gentleman.
